PM readings will be unreliable if the sensor inlet sits near the purifier outlet, wall, or HVAC discharge; child use also rules out accessible mains parts.
Path: Run three airflow enclosure iterations with a PM-sensor supplier reference chamber, then validate against a calibrated aerosol monitor in Delhi and Hyderabad homes. Use a sealed UL94 V-0 enclosure and external low-voltage adapter.
8.2 [Certification]
Wi-Fi radio, mains-powered smart-plug function, and supplied power adapter require India compliance planning; health-grade claims would create an unsupported regulatory burden.
Path: Use a pre-certified Wi-Fi module with WPC ETA documentation; obtain BIS/IS 13252-1 safety compliance for the applicable powered product and adapter route, and certify the smart-plug assembly through a BIS-recognized lab. Market as an environmental monitor, not a medical device.

Dedicated moulds and sensor test fixtures are expensive for a ₹10,000 retail product unless demand reaches meaningful volume.
Path: Build EVT/DVT units in CNC or SLA housings, use a standard certified smart-plug module initially, and release production moulds only after purchase commitments or validated demand of roughly 1,000 units.
9. Prototype sequence
